Accessibility

Ensuring All Learners Thrive

At CMoS (ChemMath Online School), we believe that every student deserves an equal opportunity to learn and succeed. Our commitment to accessibility is an essential part of our mission to deliver high-quality Chemistry and Mathematics education to learners across Uganda and East Africa—regardless of ability, background, or circumstances.

We are actively working to make our platforms, content, and learning environments accessible to everyone, including students with disabilities.

Our Accessibility Standards

We aim to align with internationally recognized accessibility standards, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines help ensure our online resources are perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for all users.

Our learning materials are continuously reviewed and updated to be more inclusive and user-friendly for students with different learning needs.

Features to Support Diverse Learning Needs

We’ve implemented several features to enhance accessibility, including:

Dark Mode for Eye Comfort

Our Learning Management System (LMS) includes a dark mode option for students who experience eye strain or sensitivity to light, helping them study more comfortably for longer periods.

Clear Audio and Captions

Where applicable, our recorded video lessons and resources include captions and transcripts to support learners with hearing impairments.

Mobile-Friendly & Device-Compatible

Our digital platforms are optimized for mobile access and low-bandwidth environments, ensuring inclusivity even in rural or underserved areas.

Collaboration and Advocacy

CMoS consults with teachers, parents, and local ambassadors to understand and accommodate the needs of students with disabilities. As we grow, we are also exploring partnerships with inclusive education advocates and disability support organizations to improve our accessibility efforts.

Alternative Learning Formats

We aim to provide flexible formats for learners who may require adjustments. These include:

  • Audio notes or voice summaries for visually impaired students.

  • Text-based summaries of complex diagrams or lesson recordings.

  • Printed handouts upon request, where digital access is limited.

If you or your student requires a specific format or support, please contact our support team to make a request.
